The pied-a-terre marks the first Huntsman location outside of Savile Row. With an estimated 60 percent of Huntsman’s clientele being based in the U.S., the 57th Street location will serve as an environment where the brand can privately host and provide a further elevated service to clients.
A bespoke tailor of the highest tradition, a favorite of Kings, Queens, Princes and Dukes, Huntsman’s history extends over 150 years of making the most extraordinary clothes for discerning gentleman and ladies. Founded in 1849 as a bespoke tailor, the house gained a reputation for dressing the hunting and riding aristocracy of Europe for much of the nineteenth century, a specialism which would become the foundation of the brand and its storied history along with its illustrious bespoke tweeds.
The house prides itself on its rich heritage and reputation as one of the finest and most long-standing, yet often innovative bespoke houses on Savile Row. Today, Huntsman’s extraordinary story serves as a reminder of the integrity, excellence and attention to quality that has defined the brand for generations.
“In a 167 year old business, there are traditions to nurture and others to challenge. While making garments by hand in a similar was as they were in 1849 ensures a quality rarely equaled with modern techniques, in today’s world, I felt we should be closer and able to better serve our clients in America, where the largest Huntsman client base lives and works. A New York presence was a logical next step, and with our pied-a-terre we’re able to bring a little bit of our iconic Savile Row environment to the U.S.” says Pierre Lagrange, Chairman and Owner of Huntsman, regarding the New York opening.
The pied-a-terre, intimate and private in nature in midtown Manhattan, Huntsman New York will be located at 130 West 57th Street, 7th floor, and appointments may be made but email or phone.
