In partnership with London Craft Week (3 – 7 May 2016), a week dedicated to showcasing exceptional craftsmanship across London, Backes & Strauss, the world’s oldest diamond company, is delighted to exclusively construct a Diamond Polishing atelier at the House of Backes & Strauss, 21-22 Grosvenor Street, W1K 4QJ.
Backes & Strauss will be demonstrating the art of diamond polishing with the privilege of welcoming a master craftsman from Antwerp especially for this exclusive occasion. In the heart of Mayfair, this event will offer an extraordinary opportunity to gain a behind-the-scenes insight into the high-skill-intensive processes that transform the hardest natural material into a polished gem.
Having a heritage and savoir faire in the sumptuous world of diamonds since 1789, the master craftsman will unveil the essence of Backes & Strauss, renowned internationally for its pioneering cutting expertise seen in the Hearts and Arrows pattern present in each Backes & Strauss Ideal Cut round brilliant diamond.
This event will be open to the public for between 15h00 – 16h30 on Wednesday 4th May through to Friday 6th May. Booking is necessary through the London Craft Week website.
