Always schedule conscious, one of the first things to appeal to me about this procedure was reading that the exercise sessions only takes 30 minutes. The 30 minute workout takes place in a specially designed pressure machine or pressure suit. Reviewers said it is safe, pain free and felt natural to the body, the goal is help your body to burn stubborn fatty deposits from the tricky places i.e. stomach, hips, buttocks, thighs and legs. Which many achieved.
Clinic Owner and HYPOXI Coach, Dajana Prosnanova recommends a course of minimum 12 sessions, with the sessions being repeated 3 times per week over 4 consecutive weeks. Clients usually lose average 22-25 centimeters from their problem areas in total, which is much more than that can be achieved by regular exercise. With so many hours, weeks, months in the gym and the desired results still not met we felt a strong urge to find out more straight from the source and visited the HYPOXI studio in London’s prestigious Knightsbridge.
We enter into a sleek clinic that is both modern and welcoming at the same time. A smiling lady welcomes us, it is Dajana. Getting straight to the point I start the interview.
How and when did you first hear about HYPOXI and the results it was giving clients?
DP: I first heard about HYPOXI 8 years ago when I was headhunted to run the Body Clinic in Harrods. As a qualified nutritionist I like to keep up to date with the latest weight loss methods and HYPOXI seemed very interesting. I soon discovered myself how effective the method is and have never looked back. The method really can change people’s approach to health & slimming for the better.
There are procedures on the market that don’t always deliver the results promised and are costly. Why is Hypoxi so popular across the world? / What do you do differently?
DP: Exactly for that reason – it delivers results & clients love how it makes them feel. We encourage a balanced approach to staying in shape, and for those that would rather avoid the punishing PT session they can tackle weight loss in a more holistic way with us. It needs commitment rather than blood, sweat and tears and I think for many this is maintainable.
How flexible are you in tailoring a package to suit a clients needs?
DP: When the client comes for the first time, it is important that they can commit to doing a minimum of 2 weeks of 3 treatments each week and in this time they will definitely start seeing some results. Later we can be more flexible. HYPOXI can be a good maintenance for those who are quite happy with their bodies, then they may benefit from 1-2 sessions per week alongside a healthy, balanced diet and fitness plan.
What dedication is required from the client to achieve the results?
DP: The more dedicated the client the better the results. I tell them in the initial consultation that committing to 3 days per week will help them achieve their goal faster. Its only a 1 hour session on those days but post session you must avoid sugars and carbs, which includes alcohol so for some people this is a bigger commitment than usual however dedication pays off. Once you have achieved your goal Hypoxi is an extremely maintainable approach to staying in shape
How does the Hypoxi journey begin for a new client?
DP: Ideally I like to have a full consultation with the client to fully assess their needs and desires, their level of fitness and also nutrition. I use a body analysis machine at the clinic that also really aids the whole journey as this enable us to measure the progress and success of Hypoxi. It measures everything from muscle mass to visceral fat and helps us to find a goal together to aim for. Generally, we can get started the day a client visits.
Dajana Prosnanova – Profile:
I am qualified as a nutritionist in my home country Slovakia and my first job gaining experience within the health and beauty industry in the UK was in Harrods as a temp in the cosmetics department. I went on to work for Perricone MD and learn a huge amount about skin health. Later in 2008 I returned to Harrods to launch the HYPOXI Body Clinic in Urban Retreat. In 2014 I took Hypoxi a step further setting up a standalone clinic in Knightsbridge. I am passionate about my job and my focus has always been to develop a concept that represents “beauty from inside out” as a part of a healthy lifestyle.
